To date, we are unaware of any bacteria, viruses, fungi, or allergens that far UV light has not been able to successfully inactivate or kill. Efficacy data confirming 99.9% bioburden reduction or better is available specifically assessing Krypton 222nm far UV devices against organisms such as SARS-CoV-2 (the pathogen associated with COVID-19), other coronaviruses or rhinoviruses, influenza, foodborne illnesses caused by E. coli and Salmonella, hospital-acquired infections (HAI) caused by Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), and even allergens such as pollen, dust mites, and mold (aspergillus niger).
